I.Analysis of the teaching material and the students The emphasis of this period will be focused on some important words and phrases of Learning about Language of Unit2. The teacher will use Mind Map to let students learn the important words and phrases. Meanwhile, the teacher will make students understand and learn the important words and phrases in the situation. Then students will work in groups to understand the meanings and usages of them so that they can master them easily. Finally, the students will be encouraged to finish a short passage about their ideas on the activity that happened to them, using the important words and phrases they will learn in this period. The students are from Grade One and the majority of them are from the countryside. They have poor foundation in English and have difficulty in learning the language points. Therefore, the teacher will let them learn the important words and phrases in the situation and design some activities related to their real life, which will make them feel it easy and interesting to learn

the important words and phrases and master them properly and easily. II.Teaching objectives: Knowledge goals: By the end of this period, the majority of the students will be able to；

①understand and learn the usages of important words and expressions. ②learn how to use Mind Map to learn important words and expressions.

Ability goals: By the end of this period, the majority of the students will be able to: ①learn the usages of important words and expressions. ②learn to use Mind Map to remember words and phrases. ③finish their short passages using the important words and expressions they have learned this period. Emotion focus: By the end of the story, the majority of the students will be able to: ① show a great interest in learning vocabulary. ② be interested in cooperation and teamwork willingly.

III.Teaching focus By the end of this period, the majority of the students will be able to: ① understand and learn the usages of important words and expressions. ② learn how to use Mind Map to learn important words and expressions. ③finish their short passages using the important words and expressions they have learned this period. IV.Teaching difficulty By the end of this period, the majority of the students will be able to: ①learn to use the usages of important words and expressions to express their ideas. ② finish their short passages using the important words and expressions they have learned this period. role-play VII.Teaching steps Step1.Lead-in (1).The teacher will show students video1; Now let’s enjoy a video.

(2).After watching the video, the teacher summarize the content of it like this to lead into the first word they will learn. From Ma Yun’s words, we know that not everyone can succeed easily. Whatever we do, we should be optimistic, brave and persistent, then we will be successful one day. Therefore, if we have a dream, just follow it and struggle for it.

Purpose: The activity is designed to arouse students’ interest in this period and lead to the first word they will learn. Step2 Presentation So according to the video, the first word we’ll learn is “struggle”. Now let’s look at the sentences. You should try to summarize the words’ patterns of the sentences and meanwhile write down the meanings of them.

(Some students write down the words’ patterns and the meaning of them on the blackboard.)

Activity1 --- Students look at the sentences and try to summarize the phrases used in the sentences and guess the meanings of them.

Purpose: The activities are designed to let students learn the important words and phrases in the situations, which will help them learn them easily and arouse their interest in learning vocabulary. Step3 Discussion and teamwork As we all know, Kanglei Program is intended to help those left-behind children(留守儿童) by volunteers. Last week our school students took an active part in the Program for Community Hero and they practiced dancing for the activity every afternoon for at least an hour. To our satisfaction, the activity was held successfully at last.
