Teaching Design of Unit 4 Wildlife Protection

Ⅰ. Analysis of the teaching materials This unit is about the present situation of wildlife and their protection. By studying of the unit ,I will enable students to know the significance of wildlife protection and develop their interest in caring about various kinds of plants and animals. At the same time ,let students learn how to protect wildlife. If students can master it well, it will be helpful for them to learn the rest of this unit.

Ⅱ. Analysis of students’situation

Most students show great interest in the topic about wildlife protection. Of course, they will be curious about how to protect wildlife and learn to live in harmony with animals. Therefore, they will have abilities to study and understand the material. Although the students have the basic abilities of listening, speaking, reading, and

writing, they still need more opportunities to explore them and develop their autonomous learning ability as well as cooperative learning ability. Ⅲ. Teaching aims Knowledge aims: 1. Reflection After Teaching In this class , I enabled students to make sense of the learning aims and designed different activities for students to complete. What’s more, I could refer to ppt and multimedia teaching system to arouse students’

interest as well as their enthusiasm, contributing to building a good communicative atmosphere. Last but not least, the design of this class was reasonable and its structure was fluent, which was bound to make sure the class attain expected teaching aims. In the teaching procedures

students could practice their listening , speaking, reading and writing abilities. Obviously it was practical. As a result, for sure students must enjoy great joy in the class. However, because of limited time it is a pity that students can’t discuss the questions thoroughly in groups in the discussion part . In a word, the class turned out to be a great success.
