1. Teaching goals: Knowledge goals: Enable the students to grasp the usage of some important words and expressions, such as calculator, notebook, common, calculate, analytical, technological, revolution;

Ability goals: Enable the students to grasp the progress of computers;

Enable the students to state the progress in chronology order.

Emotion goals: Enable the students to understand the development of computers and arouse the students’ interests in learning the text. 2. Teaching important points:
