Step1. Pre-reading

A short introduction about computers. Step2.Reading comprehension Ask the students to read the passage quickly and then answer the questions. 1. What’s the main idea of this passage?

F Step3 Language points: Before 构成的句型主要有：

1）It is /was long before+从句

过了很久才…

2）It will not be long before+从句

过不了多久就…（主句用将来时，从句用一般时）

3）It will be long before+从句

要过很久才…

eg. It was a long time before I went to sleep last night.

It will not be long before we get used to the new school life. 2. As time went by…=With time going by

1) as conj. 随着……, 引导时间状语从句。

As time went on, Einstein's theory proved

to be correct. 随着时间的推移,爱因斯坦的

理论证明是正确的。

表示“随着……”时, 也可以用with，

但with是介词, 后面一般不接句子。

With time going by, it’s getting warmer and warmer.随着时间的推移，天气变得越来越暖和了。
