Important and difficult points

Helping the students to sort out useful expressions and sentence patterns after reviewing the text and to write a short paragraph about climbing mountain. Analyzing students The students, in senior 1,are enthusiastic to learn English,but most of them haven’t formed good learning habits especially in speaking and writing.They don’t have enough words and expressions to express their own ideas and most of them are afraid to speak in English.

Review Check students’ homework to review the text.

Students work in groups and discuss the sentences that they have sorted out before class about what Wang Kun and Wang Wei saw,did and how they felt. 2.

Ask students to brainstorm about what they saw,did,and how they felt while they were climbing mountains. 2.

Give more useful sentence patterns and ask the students to talk about their own mountain-climbing trips in groups. 3.

Ask some of the students to share their entire experiences during their trips with the whole class. 4.

Ask students to draw the outline of a travel journal. Step 4

Writing

1.Ask the students to write a short paragraph about their mountain-climbing experiences. 2.Show some students’ writing on the screen and make some comments. Step 5
