ask the class to do exercise 1 on page 3. after a while , the teacher begins to collect their answers and give the correct answers. 2.

read the passage in exercise 2 and fill in the blanks using the given words.

After finishing it, correct their answers and ask them to recite it. 4.

look at the dictionary entry for the phrasal verb

“belong to”

,and match the meanings with the sentences in the right box. (exercise 3 on page 3) 5.

read the passage again and underline all the sentences with attributive clauses. 6.

join the pairs of sentences using attributive clauses. (exercise 4 on page 3).and then check their answers one by one. 7.

ask them to translate the sentences into Chinese and recite them. Step 3 do some additional exercises.
