Teaching Procedures Step 1: Review Review the tenses of the passive voice

1) Present passive voice: am/is/are + p.p.

e.g. The Olympic Games are usually held in big cities. 2) Past passive voice: was/were + p.p.

e.g. The last Olympic Games were held in Beijing.

3) Future passive voice: will/shall + be + p.p.

e.g. The next Olympic Game will be held in Tokyo. 4) Perfect passive voice: have /has + been + p.p.

e.g. The Olympic Games have been held 29 times.

Step 2: Discovering I

Complete the sentences according to the text. 1.

We are being killed for the wool beneath our stomachs. 2.

Our fur is being used to make sweaters for people like you. 3.

I wonder what is being done to help you.

Let the students find out the structure of the present progressive passive voice. 2)
