Story time Work or play on the weekend? 背景：辩论赛开始了。人员组成：主持人；A组Zoom和Zip为正方辩论赛选手（我们应在周末认真做事和学习）；B组Giraffe和Zebra为反方辩论赛选手（周末应该玩和放松）。

第一幕：

主持人：Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Forest Debate Competition! Now, let’s see! The positive side is Zoom and Zip! Welcome！（A组站立示意观众，全场鼓掌）女士先生们，欢迎来到森林辩论会。正反是Zoom和Zip，欢迎！

Zoom: Hello, everyone. I’m debater 1, Zoom. 我是辩论一号。

Zip: Hi, everybody, I’m debater 2, Zip. 我是辩论二号。

主持人：Great！Now, let’s welcome the Negative side——Giraffe and Zebra! (B组站立示意观众，全场鼓掌) 很好，现在欢迎反方。

Giraffe: Hello, everyone. I’m debater 1, Giraffe. 我是辩论一号

Zebra: And I’m debater 2, Zebra. 我是辩论二号。

主持人：Wonderful! Before the debate, I have a question for you! How was your weekend?（先问A组）很好，在辩论之前，我有一个问题，你们的周末怎么样？

Zoom and Zip: It was a busy one!（异口同声的回答）很忙！

主持人：Oh, really? What did you do on Saturday morning, Zip?

真的吗，星期六早上你干什么？

Zip: I washed my schoolbag, then I cleaned my room, it’s so tiring! But I like it! 我洗书包，打扫房间，累，但我很喜欢。

主持人：Hmm, you are buzy and hard-working. So what did you do on Saturday afternoon, Zoom? 你真忙，也很勤快。你星期六下午怎么样？

Zoom: I did my homework, then I read a book about space! I like reading books! 我做家作，接着看关于太空的书，我喜欢阅读书。

主持人：Good for you. You are working hard, guys! So buddy, how was your weekend? (转身问B组) 你真棒，很用功，朋友，你们的周末怎么样？

Giraffe: It was a happy one!（异口同声，开心的表情，展开手臂）

主持人：Yeah, you look so happy! What did you do on Sunday morning, Giraffe? Giraffe: I visited my grandparents, then we went to the park together! We have a good time in the park! 在公园度过了很愉快的时间。

主持人：That’s awesome! What about you, Zebra? 那真棒！

Zebra: I watched TV on Sunday afternoon, then I played football! It’s so funny!

第二幕：

主持人：Great! You work hard and play hard on the weekend! Which one do you like best? Now look at our debate topic: “Work or play on the weekend?” Let’s go! 真好，你们周末做的开心，玩的开心。哪个你最喜欢呢？看看我们的辩题：周末是工作还是玩呢？

Zip: No pains, no gains. We should work hard on the weekend. Hard-working is the key to success. 没有付出就没有收获，我们应该在周末认真工作, 这是成功的关键。

Giraffe: I don’t think so, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy! We need play-time! 我不这么认为。只知道学习，聪明男孩也变傻。我们需要玩的时间。

Zoom: Learn and live, not play and live！Homework and chores make our weekend more meaningful! 活到老，学到老。而不是活到老，玩到老！家作和家务可以让我们的周末更有意义。

Zebra: Relax! We have so much homework to do, play right will ease our pressure! 放松，我们有这么多家作要做，适当的玩会减轻我们的压力。

Zip: But a young idler, an old beggar. Knowledge is the power. It’s our best time to learn, we should cherish it! 但是少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲。知识是力量，这是我们学习的最好的时候，

Giraffe: But we should cherish our free time! It’s so precious! When we grow up, we have to work, work, and work! It’s so boring! 但是我们也应该珍惜我们的自由时间。它是这么珍贵！当我们长大后，我们就不得不工作工作工作了！那真是太无聊了！

Zoom和Zebra：But…

主持人：Ok, now time’s up! It’s a wonderful debate! In my opinion, we can spend the weekend wisely on study and play at the same time! We can do homework, read books, play computer, but we’d better go out to breathe the fresh air, such as go hiking and go to the park. We should work and rest, let’s work hard! And play hard! 好的，时间到了！真是一场厉害的辩论！在我看来，我们可以聪明的同时在周末学习和玩。我们可以做家作，看书，玩电脑，但最后我们也可以出去呼吸新鲜空气，比如远足，去公园。我们应该工作，也休息。让我们努力工作！玩的快乐！
