Ⅲ. 教材分析

本单元以伟大女性为话题，通过学习不同国度的杰出女性，探讨女性在社会生活中的地位、价值和贡献，关注她们所面临的困难，讴歌她们在社会各个领域的成就。通过学习提高学生对妇女的社会角色的认识，培养学生的自信心、事业心和社会责任感，建立正确的性别观和社会观。

Ⅳ. 本课教学设计

一、教学目标

1. 学生愉悦热身Unit1的学习内容；

2. 学习该单元部分话题词汇。

二、教学重点

通过听说活动预热单元学习内容。

三、教学难点

激发学生学习Unit1的兴趣。

四、教学方法和手段

1. 小组合作探究学习：全班分为6个小组，采取小组内讨论学习和小组间竞赛的机制；

2. 任务型教学：通过活动熟悉单元话题，将知识承载于活动中。

五、教学流程

教学步骤

Step I Lead-in 1. 展示一张屠呦呦的图片，谈论她的基本情况，激发学生的学习兴趣，引导学生思考：怎样的人物才可称为伟大。

She is a medical expert.

She devoted herself to the cure of malaria.

She suggests people take scientific measures to prevent malaria.

She is one of the greatest women scientists in China.

2. 引导学生思考：What makes a person great? 头脑风暴的方式，让学生建自己的词汇银行。

Step II Picture matching 1. 教师将六幅图呈现给学生，让学生辨认，并让学生谈谈她们所知道的有关的信息。

2. 教师把更详尽的资料向学生作介绍。

3. 学生对伟大女性做出评价。

采用提问题方式，引导学生回到主题及主题词汇。

通过听说活动预热单元话题，通过竞赛形式激发学生学习兴趣。

通过抢答选择竞争对手增加了活动的趣味性和挑战性，激发学生主动性。

通过头脑风暴，让学生训练强记能力，并锻炼学生大声开口说英语的勇气，同时回顾和整理伟人的品质词汇和表达。

活动结束后的思考问题承上启下。

通过此活动让学生了解伟大女性的事迹，训练学生逻辑思维能力，同时为下一节阅读课型做好铺垫。

验证学生本节课学习效果，让学生对下一课型充满期待。

让学生在阅读前对人物背景有所了解。

让学生学会自我学习，并从更高层次解析语篇信息。
