Learning about Language The General Idea of This Period：

This period includes revision of the text, learning about language.From this period the students will learn how to use some of the key words and expressions in the text and do some exercises for consolidation，and learn how to use the Present Perfect Passive Voice. Teaching Aims：

Step 1 Revision T：Boys and girls，in last period we learned the new words and expressions of Unit 3.Now let’s review them by translating two sentences. 1.

他是那么仁慈的人，以至于大家都喜欢他。

He is such a kind man that everybody likes him. 2.

我出了太多的差错，以至于考试失败了。

I made so many mistakes that I failed the exam.

T：Congratulations!You’ve done very well.Now try to do the same to your partners，OK! Step 2 Grammar revision Review the passive voice. 1. The present passive voice (一般现在时的被动语态) am/is/are +p.p 2.The present future passive voice（一般将来时的被动语态）

T: Can you tell me the structure of the present perfect passive voice? Quite right.The structure of the present perfect passive voice is “subject＋have/has been done＋object”.The function of present perfect passive voice is indicating verbs’ the present perfect and the passive voice. 现在完成时的被动语态强调一个发生在过去的被动性动作, 它有两层意思:

①动作已完成, 强调对现在造成的影响或结果。

②主语和谓语动词之间为被动关系。

OK, now let’s learn the details structures of the present perfect passive voice 1).现在完成时被动语态肯定句

主语+has/ have been +P.P.+...(P.P.=动词的过去分词形式) Her motorbike has been stolen. 她的摩托车被盗了。

2).现在完成时被动语态否定句

主语+has/ have +not+ been+ P.P.+... The task has not been finished yet. 任务尚未完成。

3).现在完成时被动语态一般疑问句

Has he(she, it,单数名词)+been+P.P.+...?

Has a new computer been bought?

买了一台新电脑吗? 4).现在完成时被动语态特殊疑问句

疑问词+have (has)+主语+been+ P.P.+...?

What has been bought by Tom?

汤姆已经买了什么东西?

注意：

1.

副词的位置

often, usually, always, never, hardly, seldom等副词置于have/has和been中间。

[误] Such a man has been hardly

believed.

[正] Such a man has hardly been

believed. 2.

并不是所有动词都有被动语态

happen, take place, break out, belong to, cost, last等不及物动词或词组无被动

语态。

[误] Great changes have been taken

place in China since 1978.

[正] Great changes have taken place

in China since 1978. 3. 短语动词不可分割或省略其中的介词或副词

[误] The SARS patients have been taken good care .

[正] The SARS patients have been taken good care of. 4. 一些特殊动词如borrow, finish, begin, buy, start, return, marry, open, join等构成的现在完成时的被动语态不能与表示一段时间的状语连用。若要表达相应的意思,则需改换动词或时态。

My brother has had(不能用has bought) this bike for almost four years. [误] How long has this book been bought? [正] How long ago was this book bought? 5.现在完成时一些标志性的时间状语

1). Many new buildings have been built since 2000． 2). The construction of the new railway lines has been finished by them by now.
