Knowledge aims: Learn something about the Amber Room by self-study and group study Ability aims: Practise using the reading skills：skimming and scanning to improve students’ reading ability Moral aims :Develop the sense of protecting our cultural relics. 2、学情分析

The Senior One students of our school are weak at English subject as well as their reading ability. Besides, this unit is about Cultural relics, which few students are familiar with . According to the above situations , the aims of this class is to improve their study interst and grasp more information about the Amber Room from the text, so that students can get confidence and learn English harder in the future . 3、重点难点

Teaching important points: 1. Learn more detailed information about the Amber Room; 2. Develop and improve the students’ reading ability by practise using skimming and scanning 3. Train the students’ ability of self-study and group work Teaching difficult points: 1 Improve the students’ reading ability.

本节课有成功之处也有不足，具体如下：

1、本节阅读课在电脑和电子白板辅助下进行的，课堂教学时间安排紧凑、合理，教学容量适，各环节衔接自然、得当。教师首先借助一段视频导入曾经被认为是“世界第八大奇

2本节阅读课由听说开始，再通过整体阅读、分段落阅读、深层理解、对课文概述总结、和小组讨论保护我们的文化遗产应该做什么等程序，创设了各种问题情境，吸引学生的注意力，营造宽松、愉快的学习氛围，合理安排教学时间，有效地培养并锻炼了学生的skimming 和scanning等方面的阅读能力；通过自主学习及合作学习，引导和启发学生思考讨论，使其能充分理解本课的主旨和各段落的中心，有效地完成教学重点﹑难点等教学任务。

3、师生、生生互动性强，活动形式多样化，有个人活动，同伴活动和小组活动。对于学生完成任务的情况及掌握学习策略的情况给予反馈和评价。使学生既能体会自己的成功，又能看到自己的不足，进而调整自己的学习行为，产生“我应该更加努力，把英语学得更好”的愿望。

4、本节课教师通过泛读（整体阅读），精读（分段落阅读）分组讨论来设计，教学过程体现了层次性和任务型教学的有效性。在讲授新内容时，让学生产生无意注意，当讲授教学内容的重点、难点时，设法让学生保持有意注意，同时通过表格的设计、问题的提出、短文填空、齐声朗读等让学生充分理解和思考问题。

5、教师充分利用教材，并创造性地整合教材，活用教材，教师在设计Group Discussion的话题时，巧妙地将书本课后的练习三的题目借用过来。这使得整堂课的教学既忠实于教材，又能在教材基础上灵活拓展，在教学中实现了知识，技能和情感教育的过程统一。

6、但是，学生做Group Discussion讨论如何保护我们的文化遗产时，教师设计的不够理想，提示内容有些限制了学生的思维，小组讨论时间不够从分，使得部分学生所表达的句式简单、内容单一，没有完全达到课堂讨论所应有的教学效果。英语教师应如何引导学生在课堂上有效的进行话题讨论并用英语流利地传输出来，值得再探索和研究；这将是我今后努力的方向。
