Teaching Aims: 1.

Review the words, phrases and sentences with the help of the mind maps. 2.

Ss learn to write the letter of asking for help using the key words, phrases and sentence structures.

Step1 Revision 1. Check their homework. 2. Ask the Ss to read the words and phrases loudly together.

Step2 Task1 1.

Read the sample letter and then complete the mind map. Dear Peter，

①How is everything going with you? I’m Li Hua.② I have been in America for two months, but faced with a lot of difficulties in life and study. ③I'm writing this letter to ask whether you could do me a favor. I am faced with the following difficulties.

①First of all, I still find it hard to
