Students can use better phrases to replace common words. 2.

Students can use advanced sentence structures to make their writing better. 3.

Students can use proverbs properly in writing. 4.

Students can use the strategies successfully in their writing. Teaching procedures Step 1 Lead in Use a few interesting pictures to make comparisons to lead in the topic: how to make your writing better. Step 2 Strategies learning and strategies practicing Make a contrast between two compositions to know the features of good writing. Find good characters of the excellent composition and get the strategies of good phrases, advanced sentences and transitional words. Have a competition and come up with the strategy of proverbs. Finish task 1 to task 4 respectively. Step3 Consolidation in class Finish task 5 to polish the passage by using the strategies learned in the class. Step 4 Summary

Step 5 Homework 教学反思：本节课是一节写作微技能课，通过问学生：Do you want to be more

beautiful or handsome? 引入人的outer beauty 和inner beauty，并从书写，短语，句子，过渡词和谚语五个方面谈如何提高作文的外在美跟内在美。本节课的亮点是课前的引入及谚语引用环节的分组比赛；学生在这节课中课堂参与度很高，本节课取得较好的教学效果，也获得了听课老师的一致好评。

小结：总而言之，这是一节较成功的公开课。课前准备充分，课堂环环相扣，教学效果好。学生从这节课中学到了很多写作的微技能。
