学生情况分析:
本班的学生基本上都是外来人员子女,英语的学习主要靠学校教学。他们通过四年多的学习,已经掌握了一定的词汇量和句型,正处于发展上升阶段。本模块主要学习场所和活动,其中本单元的主题为“Seeing the doctor”。学生也曾经学习过What’s the matter with you? 这样与主题相关的问句,而且这个话题本身就贴近学生生活,所以比较能激发学生的兴趣,有利于学生学习一些常见病的治疗和防护的方式,进一步培养他们关爱自己、关心他人的良好品质。
模块分析:
5AM3的学习主题为Places and activities,有对场所及问路方式的学习,有对如何在商店买东西的学习,也有对如何去看病的学习,题材丰富、内容广泛且都贴近学生的实际生活。
学生通过三个单元的学习能够运用所学的知识较完整的在相应的语境中进行运用。
单元分析:
本单元的主题是Seeing the doctor, 要求学生能学习和运用词汇fever, toothache, cough, cold, well, medicine及句型What’s wrong with you? I have... What should I do? You should/ shouldn’t…来向他人描述自己的病情并询求相应的帮助,在此基础上,了解一些常见病的治疗和防护方式,了解一些保持身体健康的常识。

能在语境中学习、理解、初步运用本单元表示一些常见疾病的单词fever, cough, cold, headache, toothache. 能在语境中运用句型What’s wrong with you? I have… 询问和描述病情。
能在语境中运用句型What should I do? You should/shouldn’t…询问和回答生病后应该注意的事项。
能在语境中针对不同疾病提出适当的意见与建议,如:take some medicine等。
能正确朗读含有/з:/, / ə /发音的单词,句子和儿歌,做到发音准确、到位。

在创设的语境中学生能较熟练地运用本单元的核心词汇fever, toothache, cough, cold, well, medicine及句型What’s wrong with you? I have... What should I do? You should/ shouldn’t…来向他人描述自己的病情并询求相应的帮助,了解一些生病后应该注意的事项。

A toothless tiger 主体学习文本:
The tiger is the king of the forest. He has sharp teeth. All the animals in the forest are afraid of him. When the tiger comes, all the other animals run away.
Today, the animals hide themselves in a secret cave. They are having a meeting together. There’s a clever fox. He has an idea.
The fox gives the tiger a large packet of sweets. ‘My King, I have a present for you. It’s the best food in the world.’ The fox tells him.
The tiger is happy with the present, because the sweets taste yummy. The tiger likes them very much. He eats them every day. How happy! The doctor says, ‘My
King, you shouldn’t eat too many sweets. They are bad for your teeth. ’
But the tiger doesn’t listen.
Very soon, the tiger has a toothache. His teeth hurt. He needs some help.
The fox comes to help. Many animals come to help too. They pull out all the tiger’s teeth. He has no teeth now. He becomes a toothless tiger. He cannot eat other animals. How sad!

Tiger: Rah! I’m the king of the forest! Look at my sharp teeth. Ha ha! I can eat all of you! Animals: Help! Help! The tiger is coming. Let’s hide in a secret cave!
Animals: The tiger wants to eat us. What should we do? Fox: Don’t worry. I have an idea.

Tiger: Really? Let me have a look. Wow, sweets! Yummy, yummy. I want to eat them all! Doctor: My King, you shouldn’t eat too many sweets. They are bad for your teeth.
Tiger: No, no, no! I like sweets very much. I want to eat them all! Fox: What’s the matter, my King?
Tiger: Ouch! Help! My teeth hurt! I have a toothache. Fox& animals: Don’t worry. We can help you. Let’s pull out all the teeth.
Tiger: Oh, no! I become a toothless tiger!

通过问题导向,分两组分别阅读第一、二段,第三、四段;通过Information gap的方式,让学生互相问答了解对方所阅读的段落,完成信息的提取、交流与整合;通过角色扮演的方式让学生带着感情朗读,提高学生阅读兴趣;通过填空巩固新词,并熟悉故事。
通过为老虎提出建议,再听老虎与医生对话,巩固should, shouldn’t句型的使用,并熟悉故事发展。
通过阅读并为文章取标题的方式,提高学生对语篇的整体理解与把握;通过角色扮演巩固新词,增加阅读趣味型;通过填空巩固故事。
朗读文本,回顾整个故事,通过图片展示不健康食品对牙齿的危害,总结保持牙齿健康的建议,通过给自己写一封信,督促自己保持牙齿健康。
