Unit 1 what are they doing ? This teaching design contained the following aspecs：the analysis of teaching material、the analysis of teaching aims 、the analysis of students、the analysis of teaching procedure、the analysis of key and difficult points、the analysis of teaching aids，and so on. 一、The analysis of teaching material This lesson is Unit 1 Module 3 which choose from Foreign language Teaching and Research Press English book ,the first semester of Grade 4.The main topic of this lesson is about the continue present tense ,By learning the lesson ss can know how to talk about things people are doing. and at the same time their listening and speaking abilities will also be improved in group work. 二、The analysis of students Now let me analyze my students,students in primary school they just learned English for one year ,they don’t have enough knowledge background ,but they are active and have interest in new things,thus I can use different methods to create nice atmosphere to let them learn English happily.

三、Teaching aims According to the new curriculum standard,I set the following 3D teaching aims: the Knowledge aims,Ability aims,Emotional aims. 1、Knowledge aims: ss can listen 、read and recognize the new

words ：kid，get on，can，see，lots of，interesting，things，people，row…and know the tone of certain sentence patterns：

—They‘re playing football. 2、Ability aims:ss listening and speaking abilities will be improved. 3、Emotional aims：ss can forster the interest and desire of learning English and are fond of taking part in kinds of class activities. 四、key and difficult points The next part is key and difficult points. First，the key points is ss get the main idea of the listening material and search some useful imformation,the difficult points are of two aspects:one is ss can use the key words and structures to describe things in their daily life.the other one is ss can improve their confidence of learning English and are not afriad of speaking English in public. 五、Teaching and studying methods After those analysis I will talk about the teaching and studying methods,I will mainly use the task-based teaching methods,TPR teaching methods,situational teaching methods.As for the studying methods,I will lead them discuss in groups and learn to communicate with others so as to become the real host of the class. 六、Teaching aids To interest my ss ,I will use the tape, blackboard,cards as my teaching aids.

The next comes my most important part—Teaching Procedures. 七、Teaching procedures Step 1,warm- up Greeting the ss and sing a song from the previous class.ask some ss to read the sentences from AB Module 2 Unit 2 exercise4 so that ss can correct the answers. Step 2,pre-listening

T present the Unit 1 pic,and say :what are they doing ?let’s have a look!T play the flash ss read follow it.and learn “kid”

after it.T:Our school are going to hold a pictionary,so let start to learn this lesson and practice. Step 3,while-listening T show the picture of the text,then play the video 3 times,for the first time,ss listen and comprehend,for the second time ss circle the v+ing words,for the third time,ss read follow it. Step 4,post-listening 1、

Drill the structures,and add a context: a foreign student ask a chinese student: what’s he doing?—he’s make noodles. As to the “me too.”
