Step 1. Warm up 1.

Greetings （Divide the students into four groups.）

Sing a song together (What season is it?) 欢快的英语歌曲将学生的注意力拉回英语课堂

3.Daily English: Students ask questions and the teacher answers them.(师生互换角色操练口语，学生扮演老师提问，老师则扮演学生回答问题，刺激学生思考并开口说英语）

根据上面“Daily English”中学生提到的问题What’s the weather like today?引出今天的主题。

T: We know it’s hot today, right? Ss: Yes. T: So what season is it? Do you know? Spring, summer, autumn or winter, which one? Ss: Summer. T: Yes, it’s summer. It’s very hot. 2

Ss: Yes. T: How many seasons are there in a year? Ss: Four. T: Yes, you are wonderful. So what are they?(接着引出四个季节并教读四个表示季节的单词) Step 3 Presentation *Seasons季节

What season is it? （学习四个季节及如何询问季节并作答。）

Turn back another three cards on the blackboard one by one and teach the students to read the four words of the seasons. 2.

After the students know the four words on the cards, the teacher put the card with the sentence “What season is it?” on the blackboard. 3.

The teacher chooses some students to answer the question “What season is it?” with “It’s ______.”(老师随机抽取学生互动。）

*Climate气候 What’s the weather like in___? （深入学习四个季节，包括每个季节的气候及如何询问气候并作答）

Read a chant about climate in different seasons to remember the four words. Team A and team B read the first half and team C and team B read the second half. 4.

A game: Show a turntable with a needle to the students and the students say “go”, the word pointed by the needle will be used to make sentences. （小组及个人形式穿插）

*Activities活动

What do you like doing in ___? （根据前面季节和气候的学习，引申出在不同的季节大家喜欢进行的活动，在此过程中复习以前的短语，实现新旧知识的衔接，并引出新知识V+ing的用法）
