教学目标：

1、让学生掌握单词turn left \turn right \go straight on。

2、学会用Where's ...? 来问路。

3、在各种活动中培养学生学习英语的兴趣。

教学重点：

1、会用Where's ...? 来打听道路。

2、能听懂turn left \turn right \go straight on。

教学难点：

left \ right \go straight on 的正确发音。

教学过程： Step1. Warming-up

T: Good morning! Boys and girls!

S: Good morning, xxx. T: OK, let’s start our English class. First, I want to introduce myself to you. My name is Carol, and you can call me Carol or Miss Qian, I’m very glad to be your English teacher this term. Ss: Hello! Miss Qian!

T: I'm happy today ! Are you happy?

Ss: Yes!

T: So let's sing a song, ok?

So the whole class sing the ABC song. (教学意图：上课前的热身运动，边唱边表演符合小学生的年龄特点，吸引了学生的注意力，稳定了学生的情趣，也活跃了课堂气氛。) Step2. Presentation. 1. T: After a long summer holidays, do you still remember our friends Sam, Tom, Daming and Lingling? Today Sam and Tom play “Hide and Seek” in a garden, let’s listen to the tape and see where Tom is. (播放多媒体课件及听课文音频part 1）

2. T: Who can tell me where Tom is in the first dialogue? （学生听不懂，用中文翻译一遍）

S: Tom is behind the tree. T: Where is Tom in the second dialogue? S: On Sam’s left.(I am on your left.) X

（教学意图：以情境引入教学，并使用多媒体课件辅助，更易使学生快速进入学习意境，既巩固了旧知，又自然地引出了新知：left / right ）

3. Teaching the two words : left / right

4. After the Hide and Seek game, Sam and Amy met together, and they wanted to go to a library, and let’s see what happened on their way to the library.(播放课文part2，播放3遍) 请学生回答以下问题。

1. What is the dog’s name? 2. Where does the dog live? 听完录音及回答问题后，出示单词课件及卡片：turn left, turn right ,go straight on ,live, supermarket, cinema, Thank you so much!以及You’re welcome! 首先带读3遍，然后集体读，分组读。

5. 操练动作并分组竞争：指定一名学生上来根据指令做动作，教师发出指令：Turn left !（Turn right, go straight on）。示范后进行分组竞赛。

6. Competition. 规则:每组选一名同学上台,再选一名同学发出指令,做左转、右转，做错的同学淘汰下去，最后一名站在台上的同学就是胜利者，可为自己小组加10分。

(教学意图: 学习新词时，采用“来指挥我来做”的形式进行操练，学生兴致极高，课堂气氛非常活跃；同时引入竞争机制，贯穿整个教学过程，使全体学生保持一种学习的积极状态，并培养学生的竞争意识和合作精神。）

7. Show a map and ask the Ss : " If I want to go to the supermarket(cinema) , how can I go there ? " (学生用中文回答: 向前直走)教师给予肯定并用英语说: Go straight on. 并做相应的肢体动作。

Step3. Consolidation 1. 同桌之间练习问路指路对话. 2. 学生发指令,教师做动作. 3. Playing a game:

Help the other Ss to get to his/her seat.

游戏规则: 请两名学生上来,一个蒙着眼睛,转2圈，一个用turn left \turn right \go straight on来指方向,帮助蒙眼睛的同学找到自己的座位或者找到指定的同学，顺利找到者,可各为自己的小组加10分. 4. 在黑板上画出一张自制地图,指名提问:Where's the ...? 教师根据学生的回答在地图上画出行走路线.

Homework. 1. Tell your classmates and friends where your home is and how to get there.

2.回家多操练指路的短语和句子，并自制小地图，能用英文在小地图上指路。
