教学目标

知识目标：

让学生复习本单元与人物描述话题相关的单词和短语，并运用相关词汇和表达来进行听说训练。

能力目标：

1.

帮助学生运用相关词汇进行人物的描述。

2.

帮助学生提高听说的水平。

情感目标：

提高学生的词汇自主运用意识、学习兴趣和合作精神。树立相关人物的正面形象，给于学生正能量。

教学重难点

引导学生准确的获得听力信息和得体地使用与话题相关的词汇来进行人物的描述。

Teaching Procedure Step I. Warming up 1.

Ask the students to see a part of the movie Harry Porter. 2.

Ask the students to describe Harry Porter. Step II. Brainstorming

1.

Get students to brainstorm and write down words and phrases which can be used to describe a person. Invite some students in each group to write them down on the blackboard for group competition. 2. Count the number of correct words and expressions on the blackboard. Step III. Listening tasks 1.

Get students to finish two listening tasks and check the answers. Step IV. Guessing games 1.

Encourage the students to guess who the famous persons are after teacher’s description. Step V. Speaking tasks (group work) 1. Ask the students to describe the person in at least 5 sentences. Every group describes a person. Invite one student from each group to describe the person to all the class.
