教学目标

知识目标

Get students to know how to write a composition. 能力目标

Enable students to improve their abilities of writing and know in what directions they can expand their writing.

情感目标

Get students to become interested in writing and analysis; Show some good compositions so as to build students’ confidence and encourage them to learn from each other. 学情分析

It is a common phenomenon that compositions written by some of our students are not long enough, which result in their low marks. Having nothing to write is a great obstacle for many students. Not knowing in what directions they can expand their writing properly and not knowing what words, phrases and sentence patterns to use make them lose interest and confidence in writing.

重点难点

教学重点 Get the students to learn how to analyze the given writing contents and find out in what directions they can expand their writing properly. Besides, let students get the hang of the words, phrases, sentence patterns which are most commonly used in expanding their writing. 教学难点 Enable students to think by themselves and find out the right expanding directions. 教学过程

Dear Tom,

Thank you for your last letter.

Now I’d like to tell you what I did. Last week, the volunteers in our school were organized to care for the Aids children in the Red Cross Hospital . Upon arrival, we began to have close chats with them to see how their life is going, and then we danced happily together. Having got to know them so well, we presented our gifts, took lots of photos and ate lunch together before we came back. Although we were tired, we felt very happy . In my opinion , it is our duty to take care of the autistic children and respect them.
