Step I Lead in Show some pictures and sentences containing –ing as subject and object

Get Ss to pay attention to the –ing form and tell it’s function in each sentence . Step Ⅱ

V-ing as subject Observe the sentences and find out the rules of V-ing as subject and summarize: a. V-ing as subject b. “It” as the form subject c. Transform the sentences into V-ing as subject or “It” as the form subject Step Ⅲ
