The students will be helped to improve their reading ability through scanning and skimming, and obtain more information about Dr Yuan and his achievement to the Mankind in agriculture Teaching difficult point

How to improve the students’ reading ability Teaching procedures:

Step 1: Lead-in 1. Enjoy a peom 2.Show the students some pictures of farmers, ask and answer some questions Step 2: Pre-reading 1 Show the students the question “Rice is the main food in all East Asian and Southeast Asian countries. What do you think would happen if tomorrow there was suddenly no rice to eat?”
