Lesson 8 Always Brush Your Teeth! 教学设计

教学分析

1. 分析学生

在学习本节课内容之前,学生在第七课已经学过Always Have Breakfast.对“保持健康”的这一话题不再陌生。本节课是在学生对已有知识理解的基础上进一步学习,使之能在日常生活中正确运用所学知识进行交流,同时培养学生学习和使用英语的兴趣和方法。

2. 教材内容

本课是第二单元的第二课,在本课出现了新的时间副词before,after,和表示顺序的next。句型上主要是对第一课出现的How often句型进行复习,学习新句型:What do you do before / after ____? 本课内容的连贯性很强,并且与学生生活紧密相连,用一个学生的一天的生活来贯穿,使学生更容易理解。培养学生的英语仿写能力,锻炼学生英语应用的能力,使学生养成良好的卫生习惯。

教学目标

1、知识与技能目标

①通过本课学习使学生能够听懂、会说、认读和书写下列相关的名词before,after,next, bad。

②熟练运用句型:What do you do before / after ____? 进行简单交流。

③掌握before, after 的用法。

2、情感态度目标

通过学习,学生能对本课内容产生兴趣,主动参与教学活动,认真理解短文内容,并养成讲究卫生的好习惯。

3、学习策略目标

学生能积极与同伴合作,共同完成学习任务;在学习中能集中注意力,积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。教学重难点

1. 教学重点:after , before ,bad, next的理解和运用。

2. 教学难点:What do you do before / after ____? 的理解与运用。

教学过程

(一)Class opening and review

1.Greetings

2. T: Are you strong and healthy? S: Yes.

T: How to keep healthy? S: Always have breakfast.

T :How often do you have breakfast ? S: _____ times a _____./ I always have breakfast. …

T: Very good. For healthy and strong body , we also need brush our teeth everyday. So this class , we’ll learn Lesson8 Always brush your teeth.

(设计意图:这个环节的设置既复习了How often 句型,又引出了新的学习课题。)

(二) Key Concepts

1.学习新单词before, after。

课件出示钟表12点整。

T: Look , this is a clock. What time is it? S: It’s 12:00.

课件再出示钟表11:30。

T: Look at this clock, it is 11:30. Now it’s before twelve o’clock.

Before , say it please.

板书:before.

课件出示第三个钟表12:30。

T: Look at this clock, it is 12:30,after twelve o’clock. After,say it please.

(设计意图:教师用课件介绍单词,学生既爱学,又学的快,理解的容易。)

2.单词:before / after 的理解。

课件出示图片:

T: Look, this is my morning. At 7:00, I have breakfast . 依次出示before breakfast , brush my teeth. 课件出示问题:What do you do before breakfast?

回答:Before breakfast, I brush my teeth.

课件出示问题:What do you do after breakfast?

回答:After breakfast , I go to school.

板书:What do you do before breakfast?I brush my teeth.

(设计意图:通过出示课件,创设情境,让学生在意义操练的情景中接触所学的新内容。)

3. 操练新句型: 小组合作练习新句型。

What do you do before breakfast/class/supper?…

I sing a song / wash my hands and face / do my homework.

What do you do after breakfast/ class/supper?…

I do my homework / go to school / watch TV.

(设计意图:通过小组中的互相练说,克服学生一个人怕说错的思想,在小组练习中,提高了学生发言的积极性,说的机会也增多了,加上教师或基础好的学生的及时指导,学生的表达能力也会有所提高.) 4. 学习课文第1部分。

播放课文多媒体,学生跟读,然后出示课件,检查学生对课文的理解。

①Answer: What does he do before breakfast ?

让学生回答,出示答案: Before breakfast, he washes his hands and brushes his teeth.

②Answer: What does he do after breakfast ?

让学生回答,出示答案: After breakfast, he goes to school.

③继续检查:Does Danny brush his teeth after dinner ?

让学生回答,出示答案:No.

Danny never brushes his teeth after dinner.

That’s bad for his teeth.

④学习bad .与good 做对比学习。

For good teeth, please always brush your teeth.

5. before / after 的巩固:

①Li Ming’s Morning “before breakfast and after breakfast”

Before breakfast, Li Ming washes his hands and brushes his teeth.

After breakfast, Li Ming goes to school.

②完成第三部分第一题。

Talk about Steven’s Monday morning with “before and after”

③Talk about Our Monday Morning :

()设计意图:通过谈论李明、Steven的早上,进一步巩固练习before, after 的用法,从而让学生能够结合自身的实际自主谈论自己的早上,内化成学生的能力。)

6. 学习next.

My day : I get up at 6 o’clock.

First , I wash my hands and face. I brush my teeth.

Next , I have breakfast.

Next , say it please.

Then , I go to school.

设计意图:通过我的一天活动,学习新单词next,并且学习使用first, next, then , 按照时间的先后顺序介绍所发生的事情。

7. 学习课文第2部分。

播放课文多媒体,学生跟读,然后出示课件,课文排序,检查学生对课文的理解。

( 1 ) Jenny gets up at seven 7:00.

( 3 ) Jenny brushes her teeth.

( 4 ) Jenny has breakfast.

( 2 ) Jenny washes her hands and face.

( 5 ) Jenny goes to school.

(设计意图:在听的过程中为孩子预留了任务,符合英语课标中提倡的任务型教学,并且能引导学生注意听的重点内容,为他们的学习提供了方向。)

8. 完成第三部分第二题。

学生小组合作完成习题,检查答案。
