本课选自于冀教版（三起）三年级下册第十一课。在学习了第一单元，农场上动物的基础上，本单元来到动物园，谈论生活在动物园的小动物，前面学生已经积累了小动物词汇，并学会了谈论动物的数量、住所，这节课学生要学会谈论动物所吃的食物。在教学过程中，教师应从学生熟悉的日常生活下手，联系实际，从而导入本课。
