Step I Revision

First, check the words of unit 5. Then show 4 pictures to students and let

students make sentences:

--They often watch TV

--They talk on the phone every week.

--My mother cleans room every day.

--She reads books every morning.

Step II

Give students another 4 pictures and find the difference, than ask students answer and make sentences (some of students):

---I am playing computer.

---She is singing.

---They are dancing. ---He is swimming. Step III V-ing 变化规则:

1) 一般加

ing .

如: play----playing

watch----watching 2) 以不发音的e 结尾,去e 加ing.

如: take----taking

come---coming 3) 元+辅结尾,且是重读闭音节的单词,双写辅音字母+ing.

如::run----running

swim----swimming Write, take, have, make, come, arrive, dance, leave

Sit, shop, cut, stop, put, get, begin, swim, run

Ask students to answer their –ing forms. Step III

Give students 4 sentences and let them sum what is present continuous tense and its sentence construe.

现在进行时:表示正在发生的动作

句式结构:主语+ be + v-ing

Then let student make sentences and answer my question. He is playing the guitar.

I am running.

Is he playing the guitar?

Are you running? What is he doing?

What are you doing? Step VI Listening

Listen to the tape and answer questions. Step VII Pair workAsk and answer questions about what people are doing in the picture above. Eg:

b)--- What is he doing?

---- He is cleaning.

Summary

现在进行时:表示正在发生的动作

句式结构:主语+ be + v-ing Homework

Revise the words and phrases.
