Read the passage ANDY-THE ANDOID and deal with the tasks after it. 3.

Writing. Key points: Reading and Writing Difficult point: Writing Teaching procedure: Step one: Revise the new words and expressions of this unite by having a dictation, asking four students to write on the blackboard. Step two: New lesson presentation 1.

Reading, speaking and writing: Give the students about 10 minutes to read the passage ANDY- THE ANDROID, and the finish the task 1and 2. 2.

Check the answers by asking one or two students to display their answers and the others will give then timely help when necessary. 3.

Teacher will give some explanations about the difficult points in the passage, including words, phrases and sentences. 4.

We’ll ask two students to read the passage aloud for us. And then all students will read the whole passage over by themselves. Step three: speaking and Writing After reading the passage, ask the students to imagine the android the their own, and try to describe it in small groups. Of course, the young students will have many imaginary androids, but the problem is how they can describe them in spoken English. So at this time small groups and the teacher will give them necessary help. After group discussion, each group will choose the best one to share in the whole class. Maybe their performances are not necessarily satisfying, but encouragement and help are important and inspiring. Step four: Ask the students to write down their own passage in their writing-book as today’s homework and hand in to my office. The ending of this class with the English assistant’s summary.
