Unit 1 How tall are you?

C story time

教学目标:

1、复习本单元的四会单词:younger, older, taller, shorter, longer, thinner, heavier, bigger, smaller, stronger.

2、复习本单元的四会句子:Your feet are bigger than mine. How tall are you? I’m 1.65 metres. How heavy are you? I’m 48 kilograms. What size are your shoes, Mike? My shoes are size 37.

3、通过小组合作,借助图片读懂story time中的故事,并用自己的话语来演示故事。

教学重难点:

重点:复习本单元的单词和句子。

难点:理解story time的故事并演示。

教学过程:

Step one warm-up

(1)S how the words we learned in Unit one on PPT . Students need to read them out quickly and loudly.

(2)S how the meanings of the words and students need to read out the words quickly and loudly.

(3)F inish the exercise.

(4)S how the important sentences to the students and they read

them. Then they should tell me the meanings.

(5)F inish the exercise about the sentences.

Step two Presentation

(1)Ask and answer

T:Do you like football?

Ss: Yes, I do.

T: What’s this?

Ss: It’s a goal.

T:Yes,it’s a goal. Who is in front of the goal?Yes,it’s a goalkeeper. Look! What’s happening there? Yes, someone needs a gaolkeeper! Then, what’s going on? Let’s read the story.

(2)Students read and discuss the story with their teammates.

(3)Ask some of the students to tell the story.

(4)Listen to the tape and then imitate.

(5)Discuss and get the result of football needs teamwork and many things in our learning and daily things need teamwork.

Step three Extension

(1)Teacher explain the difficult words and show how to read them.

(2)Give the students some time and prepare the show.

(3)After watching the shows, the teacher and other students need to give advice.

Step four Homework

1、Share the story with your friends.

2、Finish the exercises on the PPT.

3、Review the words in this unit.
