《金色教案》教学设计说明

About the topic 本单元的话题是“创记录”。介绍了一位创造和申报吉尼斯世界纪录的and structures 单元话题和结构

the 奇人的奇特事迹。

据说每年全球各地成千上万人申报吉尼斯世界纪录，仅在2001年就有6万人申报了纪录，成功的大有人在。目前从申报资料的统计结果来看，申报最多的地区依次为美国、英国、澳大利亚和印度。

贯穿于本单元的句法项目是“词语/短语/不定式/从句做主语”。

写作项目是：人物档案。

《金色教案》教学设计在单元课时划分上与课本保持一致，即“阅读课、知识课、运用课三课时/三课型划分”。但在实际教学过程中，我们建议教师依据学生基础、教学条件、学校安排的因素，对课本、对《金色教案》教学设计重新划分课时、裁剪、拼接使用我们提供的材料，以便“物尽所用”，达到最佳教学效果。教师也可以按照我们提出的“实际教学过程课时划分建议”进行教学。

Period 1 Reading 阅读课

Warming Up

“热身”的目的是为阅读在一定程度上作好话题、词汇和结构的准备，激发学生相关的背景知识和学习兴趣。对此我们提供了Warming up by learning about “records”，

Warming up by celebrating "Guinness World Records" day和Warming up by getting to know what Guinness World Records is三种不同的“热身”设计供教师选用。实际操作中还需要教师动用诸如板书、投影等辅助手段，以达到最佳教学效果。

Pre-reading 部分帮助学生了解What is hula hoping? What is jumping jack? What is somersault? 为其后的阅读做知识的铺垫和准备。

Reading 是篇记叙文，记叙了创造和申报吉尼斯世界纪录的奇人Ashrita Furman奇特事迹。教师可以参考我们提供的教学设计，应当引导学生从形式和内容两方面阅读文章，并为下一节知识课“词语/短语/

不定式/从句做主语”作好铺垫。

USING WORDS AND EXPRESSIONS、USING STRUCTURES 整合在一起上一节“语言知识课”。

Period 3 将Using language 设计为一节包括听说读写单项技能或组合技能训练的“综合技能课（一）”。

Period 4 将Workbook 的READING AND LISTENING和TALKING整合在一起上一节“听说课”。

3 years，I have broken approximately 10 learning records．More than 7 of these I still hold，including the record for having the most records in my class．But these records are not made in any conventional events like swimming or racing．Rather I attempt to break records in very English learning events/ and at very interesting times．

Recently, I achieved my dream of breaking a record in all four skills of English communication，including listening to CRI for the longest time at home，speaking English to 100 strangers in the street, reading a novel in 10 minutes in bed，and writing a 300-line English poem on my way to school in 20 minutes．

While these activities might seem childish and cause laughter rather than respect，in reality they require an enormous amount of English knowledge and skills as well as determination．

I always acknowledge my teacher in my record-breaking attempts．In fact．I often wear a T-shirt with my English teacher’s words on the back．The words are：

“There is only one perfect road．It is ahead of you，always ahead of you.”
