Yes, please. / No, thanks. Part 2 Analysis of the students The students are primary school in grade 3. they have improved their listening, reading and speaking skills. Part 3 Teaching methods I design the class by these 5 methods. And the methods should be under the help of the multimedia. Part 4 Learning methods Students are the owner of the class. In order to make the students learn better, I lead the Ss to learn the lesson by the pair work, team work and individual work. Part 5 Teaching procedures Teaching procedures is the most important part in the class, I explain the lesson in 11 steps. Step 1 Greetings I greet the Ss and divide them into two teams: team A and team B. In the class, the two teams have a PK, the better team can get one kind of food, maybe a hot dog, maybe an apple, maybe some dumplings. And then we practice the oral English: “Hello!”, “How are you?”, “Are you happy?”, “Are you hungry?”. Teaching intention: In this way I can attract the attention of Ss, keep the class active and revise the sentences of the last class. Step 2 Leading- in I lead the Ss to answer the question: Are you hungry? Most of the Ss say: “Yes, I am.” and then I say: “Everyone is hungry, now let’s look for some food.”

“What’s this?” So the new word noodles can be led in naturally. Step 3 New words Firstly, I present the word by vivid picture. Secondly, I lead the Ss to pronounce the letters (n-oo-dle-s- noodles) and lead them to read the word 3 times. Thirdly, practice the word’s pronunciation one by one. Then I use the same way to present, read and practice the others words. After that, I will lead the Ss to practice these words through these methods: 1.

Teaching intention: The methods can promote the Ss’ understanding and solidify their knowledge. Step 4 Part 1 in the textbook I show the picture in part1 with the question: “Who are they?” and “What are they doing?”

Everyone knows that they are eating, but what are they eating? 1.

Ss watch the video with the question. 2.

Ss read after the recording and imitate the pronunciation. 3.

T leads the Ss to make the conversation in roles. Teaching intention: These activities can help the Ss understand and apply the conversation better. Step 5 New sentences patterns I present the asking sentence: “Would you like some ____? ” In part 1, Li Ming、Li Ming’s father、

Li Ming’s mother and Jenny are eating dumplings. So everybody “Would you like some dumplings?” Then explain the usage of the sentence, when you have a meal, you can ask others: “Would you like some ____?” After that, I will ask Ss by using the pictures. Ex: Would you like some noodles? Would you like some dumplings? Would you like some peppers? And Ss say: “No, thanks.”

So if you want, you say: “Yes, please.” If you don’t want you say: “No, thanks.”

In order to practice the sentence patterns, I’ll take two steps: 1.

Ss do a pair work with their desk mates. Teaching intention: They are designed to allow the Ss to make full use of the words and sentence patterns, so they can care about others in the mealtime. Step 6 Part 3 in the textbook Firstly, Ss watch the video with the question: Does Jenny want to eat dumplings? After that, let the Ss read after the recording and perform the conversation.

Teaching intention: This step can help the Ss deepen the understanding of the text and practice the new words and sentences. Step 7 Pair work With new words and sentence patterns Ss do this pair work in 3 minutes. Step 8 Let’s chant! In this part, teacher and Ss chant together. Teaching intention: Ss can understand and master the sentences quickly by the chant. Step 9 Listening Now look at part 4, it’s listening time. Teaching intention: Ss can practice their listening skills, at the same time it can help Ss review the words

and sentences. Step 10 Summarizing I lead the Ss to make a summary including words and sentences. Step 11 Homework 1.
