Unit 5 Places Lesson 1 Our town

一、教材分析：

本课是北师大版《小学英语》（三年级起始）五年级上册Unit 5 Our town 的第一课时，本课时为故事教学。本单元讲述的是Ken, Ann, Mocky根据地图的指示成功到达动物园的故事，故事中涵盖了本册教材中表示方位的主要结构，是在第四单元内容上的递进。第四单元主要学习了询问、表达人与物位置。而本单元以询问及描述某一建筑物的具体位置和如何到达相应目标位置为主要内容。故事呈现了建筑名称如supermarket, train station, movie theater, swimming pool，介词behind, in front of, next to，near和between。以及重点句型：Where is the…? It’s…通过本课的学习，同学们能正确理解故事内容，能够理解故事中的地点名词, 能够用Where is the…? It’s... 句型在语境中理解和应答某个场所的位置。

二、学生情况分析：

本节课的授课对象是五年级学生，在第四单元已经学习了on, in ,under, next to, behind ,in front of，near， between这些基本的方位介词，学习了Where is the…这个句型，学生已经能够围绕where进行询问级回答物体的位置。学生对一些场所的词汇也有一定的了解，如school, zoo, park 等。

三、教学目标：

1、知识目标：

1）能够认读故事中的地点名词supermarket, train station, movie theater, swimming pool 2）够理解下列词汇的意义： map, town 3）能够理解认读Where is the…? It’s... 句型

2、技能目标：

1）在动画和老师的帮助下能够读懂理解故事内容。

2）能初步运用所学习的介词正确描述建筑物的位置。

3、情感态度目标：

通过帮助学生理解Mocky在动物园前的不高兴的心情，引导和增强学生获得关爱动物的切身感受。

四、教学重点、难点：

教学重点：学生在学习故事的过程中感知“运用方位介词描述建筑物的位置”的新语言知识。

教学难点：根据地图描述场所的位置。
