教材内容是冀教2011版《小学英语》三年级上册第一单元的第2课。本单元的主题是农场上的动物。

“Is it ___?”贯穿始终学习四个四会单词：cat,duck,chicken,dog。利用多媒体音频、视频营造农教学分析

场情境，让学生尽可能在真实的情境中用目标语言去交际运用。与生活实际相结合，猜出自己喜欢的农场动物。一方面复习以前所学，如动物词汇，句型What’s this?等。最终学生能够用一般疑问句询问动物特征并会肯定和否定回答。。

根据小学生的生理和心理特点以及发展需求，小学阶段英语课程的目的是激发学生学习英语的兴趣，培养他们英语学习的积极态度，使他们建立初步的学习英语的自信心；培养学生一定的语感和良好的语音、语调基础；使他们形成初步用英语进行简单日常交流的能力，为进一步学习打下基础。所以本课学生将通过师生说、生生说，小组合作等教学方式激发孩子的兴趣，发散他们的思维，使孩子们在情境中学习，在玩中学、在做中学。
