一. The analysis of teaching material. The main idea of this lesson is about how to buy clothes, after learning , students can make up some simple conversations about shopping. The content relates to daily life closely and it also serves a connecting link between the preceding and the following. 二. The analysis of students. My pupils are in Grade 5, they have learnt some basic words and sentences for two years , but they are not so active and curious as before, so in this year I’ll help them stimulate interests and learn some basic grammars, make them form a good study habit. 三. Teaching aims According to the New Curriculum Standard and the analysis of teaching material and students, I set 3 dimensional-teaching aims: 1.
Knowledge aims: students can grasp new words:“try、short pants、coat and clothes”. sentences: How much are these short pants? They are
sixty-five yuan. 2.Ability aims: students can buy clothes in English , and can improve their listening ,speaking, reading and writing skills. 3.Emotional aims: through the group work, students are glad to talk in English and can cooperate with others actively. 四. The analysis of key points and the difficult points 1.The key point: “How much are these short pants? They’re sixty-five yuan.” 2.The difficult points: “Would you show me that pair of short pants? ”
