Unit1 How tall are you？C story time

一、学情分析

本课为小学英语六年级故事教学，内容选自PEP六年级下册unit 1How tall are you? Part C story time部分，故事是以对话文本形式展开，内容是Zip,Zoom招聘足球守门员，Mr Deer，MrZebra，MrGiraffe，MrHippo前来应聘。我在执教本课时，着眼于故事本身，结合本单元知识与能力目标，以激发学生学习兴趣为出发点，运用多种教学方式，让学生的英语语言综合运用能力以及英语学科素养逐步提升。

二、教学目标

1.语言知识

①学生能够通过学习，复习巩固句型How tall...？ How heavy...？I am...He’s bigger than.... ②学生通过图片和上下文理解新句子Football needs teamwork.并以此拓展到我们的学习中 Our study needs teamwork. 2.语言技能

①学生能够理解故事内容，并能表演故事，还能恰当运用故事中的语言。

②学生能够按照正确的意群及语音、语调朗读故事。

3.学习策略

①在阅读过程中，通过教师点拨，能够抓住主要信息；

②读思结合，理解故事深意；

③小组合作，质疑解疑，共同学习，相互促进。

4.情感态度和文化意识

通过故事学习，培养学生的团队意识和团队精神。

教学过程 Step1 ：Warm-up T：(Free talk)I’m 1.58m. How tall are you? Ss:I am .....I am taller than you. T: How heavy are your? Ss:I am .....How heavy are you? T： I am thinner than you... Step2: Pre -reading

T：(Free talk)Can you play football? Ss:Yes，I can. T: Have you been a goalkeeper? Ss:... T：We want a goalkeeper. Who is coming？

Step3: While -reading 1.

Read and underline. T：Look at Picture2. How tall is it ? How heavy is it？

Ss: read and underline. Ss: Try to answer the questions and read the sentences. T：What about zebra？（Picture3）

How tall is it ? How heavy is it？ Ss: Read and underline by themselves，explain 10 centimetres taller ，can’t catch the ball. 2.

Talk about Picture 4,5.(Group work）

T：Try to read picture 4and 5 and catch the information like deer and zebra. Ss：Read and underline the key words and discuss

in groups. 3.

What’s Mr Hippo like？Then read the picture5，underline Mr hippo’s information. 4.

Who is the goalkeeper?（The students discuss ）
