2. 教师播放Part A Let’s learn和Part B Let’s learn课文动画，学生跟读一遍，然后分角色朗读对话。

Step 3 Presentation 3. Story time

(1) 小组合作学习。学生试读story，画出不懂的地方，然后小组合作讨论，相互答疑解难。

(2) 教师介绍文本背景，学生粗读，了解故事梗概。如：

T: Zoom and Zip are reading a magazine. What is the magazine about?

学生自由回答，教师总结：

T: The magazine is about the past, the present and the future of the cooking, of the environment and of the whales.

(3) 教师播放Story time板块的录音，学生跟读2遍。

(4) 学生以小组为单位，自由选择三项中的一项进行展示汇报。

(5) 播放Story time部分的录音，学生反复跟读，模仿语音语调，感受故事情境。请一位英语基础较好的学生和教师搭档，示范朗读故事。然后分小组自由朗读课文。

每个同学准备一张自己以前的照片，照片在小组内交换，每个同学用句型⑴He/She was(not)… ⑵He/She liked/didn’t like…⑶He/She could(not)在小组内运用一般过去时谈论照片上的同学。
