Story time 教学设计

一、教学内容分析

本课是小学英语六年级下册最后一个单元的故事部分，本单元主题为Then and now, 通过过去和现在生活的比较，将过去式和一般现在式进行对比和运用。在本课中呈现了过去、现在和将来三种时态，让六年级学生对小学阶段学习过的主要时态进行了总体的复习。

二、教学目标

1. 语言能力：通过本课的学习，帮助学生对文本进行理解，对过去、现在和将来发生的各种变化进行正确的描述。

2. 思维品质：在学习过程中，学生不断联系生活实际，对各种变化进行归类分析；对变化有批判性地开展讨论；对自身和世界的发展进行合理预测。

3. 文化品格：通过本课的学习，使学生简单了解人类发展历程，了解近现代社会的快速变化，了解国外环保主题的影音作品，培养学生对改善环境、创造未来世界的信心和向往。

4. 学习能力: 通过小组合作、任务型教学等方式，发展学生协作、模仿的能力；运用大量网络视频，拓宽学习内容的获取途径。

三、教学重难点

1. 重点：通过There was…There is …There will be …对过去、现在和将来进行正确的描述。

2. 难点：对changes进行正确的理解和感受，对故事中信息的准确提

四、教学过程

I. Warm-up Greeting with students. II. Review

1. Introduce 3 pictures of the teacher about Now, Before, and the Future. Use the sentences: Before, I was…Now, I am…In

the future, I will be…

2. Show a picture of a student, have students say something about this picture together. 3. Choose some students to introduce themselves with the sentences:

Before, I was…Now, I am…In the future, I will be…

III. Presentation 1. Lead-in a. Our life is changing every day.

Questions: What do we eat now? How do we cook?

Where do we live now?

How is the environment now?

Watch 3 videos and think about these questions. b. Choose some students to answer these questions.

Write down the answers and read together. c. What’s it like before?

How about the future?

2. Read the story a. Watch the video of the story. b. Read the first part of the story.

Questions: What did humans eat before? What about the future?

Answer the questions. c. Read the second part of the story.

Questions: How was the earth like before? What will it be in the future?

Answer the question. d. Have students read the third part by themselves.

Divide students into groups.

Discuss in groups and finish a table about the changes in the story.
