[研读思考] 当when, while, if, once, if, unless, though等连词引导状语从句时，如果主从句的主语一致，且谓语部分由be动词构成（或者从句中有it is…）时，可省略从句的主语和be动词（或者省略it is）。

从语法上看，demand, request与require都可以接that引导的宾语从句，并且从句中要使用“(should)+动词原形”构成的虚拟语气。其区别如下：

（1）

request表示有礼貌的请求；正式的请求。

（2）

demand表示有正当权利的要求，因此含有“坚决或强烈要求”的意思。

（3）

require表示要求所必需的东西；法律、协定、规章以及其他客观情况的要求。

（4）

require和request都可以接“宾语+to do sth”结构，而demand没有此种用法。

（5）

“require+动名词”时，主动形式的动名词具有被动意义，而demand，request无此种用法。
