教学设计题目:Unit 1 How tall are you? C Story time

教学内容和学情分析:PEP小学英语教材,在每个单元都安排了一则与本单元教学内容相关的故事。这些故事是对一个单元中语言知识的综合运用与拓展,又与小学生的生活息息相关,接近学生的生活实际,符合学生的认知能力。这些故事学生比较感兴趣,能充分调动学生的积极性,有效地排除他们怕说英语的障碍,提高语言综合运用能力,从而提高学习效果。本课时是PEP小学英语六年级下册Unit 1 How tall are you? C Story time 部分。本单元主要是学习形容词的比较级的变化规律、主要句型是HPEP小学英语六年级下册Unit 1 How tall are you?C Story time ow tall are you? How heavy are you? 等句型这一故事教学的目的是让学生在阅读中进一步复习和巩固本单元的知识。通过对本单元知识的巩固,读懂故事,理解并能表演故事,并且得以有效拓展。本故事教学涉及的内容在Part A, Part的学习已有基础,学生对形容词的比较级和句型How tall are you? How heavy are you? 已初步掌握,对metre, kilogram这些度量单位已有了解,但是对centimetre(cm)的掌握还缺乏,还有少数同学在活动中该方面知识运用起来有困难。因此,在本节学习中还应该以练习为主,通过练习使学生进一步地巩固比较级、重点句型的用法。这节课中涉及到的生词还比较多,所以教师应充分利用故事的情景适时点拨引导,指导学生掌握理解。

课程标准:

二级目标要求:(《义务教育小学英语新课程标准》2011新版)

1、听:能听懂简单的配图小故事。

2、说:能在教师的帮助下讲述小故事。

3、读:能借助图片读懂简单的故事。

4、玩演视听:能在教师的帮助下表演小故事。

教学目标:

根据《义务英语课程标准》关于总目标的具体描述,结合本单元的教材内容,预设本课时的学习目标。

一、知识目标:

(一)重点词汇:goalkeeper, centimetres (cm),kilograms(kg) ,ton.catch the ball, neck, tallest, teamwork, gate,guy and excellent 等.并能在“I want a goalkeeper.”招聘守门员的语境中能进一步巩固比较级的用法。

重点句型:How tall are you? How heavy are you? He’s ...taller than ... 等等。

难点句型:Football is teamwork.The others can’t reach you. He’s almost bigger than the gate.

(二)能理解、读懂、朗读故事,语音正确,语调自然,能表演故事。

(三)能准确使用How tall are you? How heavy are you?

(四)能改写故事,用记叙文的形式表达故事对话。

二、能力目标:

(一)培养学生养成良好的“听”的习惯。

教学过程:

Step1 : Warm-up

1、Greetings.日常口语练习

T:Good morning, boys and girls .How are you today?

Ss: I’m fine. Thank you. And you?

T:I’m fine, too. Thank you.

2.Enjoy the song “My Small Cat”

【设计意图】通过师生交谈、欣赏歌曲,拉近师生的距离,营造英语学习氛围,为本课教学做好话题铺垫。

Step2 : Revision

1、快速读词(利用多媒体课件闪烁呈现单词tall, short, old, young, long, taller等形容词及Let’s talk部分的重点句型)

2、Free talk:Make a survey.

通过师生对话复习句型How tall are you? How old are you?How heavy are you ? I’m taller than ….教师在与学生进行Free talk,提问学生的身高:How tall are you ?

【设计意图】通过各种活动复习已学单词句型,激活学生已有知识储备,为本课教学做好铺垫。

Step 3. Presentation

(一)理解掌握centimetre(cm)

教师引导学生观察调查表,进行汇报和比较:

A is 1.52 metres. It means A is 152 centimetres,too.

B is 1.55 metres. It means B is 155 centimetres,too.

C is 1.53 metres. It means C is 163 centimetres,too.

Let’s read:centimetres(cm,厘米)

(二)理解tallest,并且学习形容词的最高级。

Can you compare their heights? Let’s see.

B is 3 cm taller than A. C is 8cm taller than A. Who is the tallest?

教师顺势引导学生理解:形容词的最高级。

归纳总结形容词最高级的变化规则:

A类:直接加 est

B类:变y为i 加 est

C类:双写加 est.

(三)学习理解故事

1、Pre-reading task

(1)课件出示:足球图片,教师提问:What’s this? (football)再出示足球比赛的图片,说:This is a football match. There is an important people in a football match. Who is he? 课件出示守门员的图片,引出:goalkeeper(板书)。Today we are going to learn a story. It’s about a goalkeeper.(从而自然引出故事的学习)

2、While-reading task

(1)Watch the story video,then answer the question.

How many animals are there? What are they?

(整体播放故事视频,学生思考问题。)

学生回答问题,学生一一说出一种动物,教师在黑板上贴上一种动物的头像。

(2)Read the story carefully.

将故事分成六段,分别再次播放视频,分别演示并处理语言点。

A、Story One (图一)的内容:Watch and answer.

What’s on it?(指着“告示”问学生)

Are they happy?

Do they want to go?

(Let’s watch it.一起再次观看图1的视频,进一步理解图1的内容。)

B、Story Two (图二)的内容:Watch and answer.

T:Ok.Deer is coming.How does Zoom ask him? How does Zip ask him?

(学生观看本部分的视频,并且回答问题。)

C、Story Three (图三)的内容:Watch and answer.

T: Mr Zebra is coming.The Zebra is ____ than Deer.

How tall is Zebra?

Can Zebra catch the ball? (呈现catch the ball)

学生回答问题,并观看本部分的视频。

D、Story Four (图四)的内容:Watch and answer.

T: Look! Giraffe is coming.

Is Mr Giraffe’s neck long?(引出neck)

Is Mr Giraffe tall?

学生回答问题,并观看本部分的视频。

T: Yes, the giraffe is very tall. It’s the tallest.(引出tallest) Can the others reach the Giraffe? (引出The others can’t reach it.) Can the Giraffe be the goalkeeper?

Why?

从而引出:Football needs teamwork.Football is teamwork.(讲解teamwork) F、Story Five (图五)的内容:Watch and answer.

T:Mr Hippo is coming. What’s he like?

(He is heavy and big.)

T: Yes,he is a big guy.(引出guy,讲解guy.)

G、Story Six (图六)的内容:Watch and answer.

T:Is Hippo an excellent goalkeeper? Who can be the goalkeeper at last?

观看本部分的视频,帮助学生理解:He’s almost bigger than the gate.(重点理解excellent,almost,gate)

3、Post-reading task

(1)Let’s do some reading.

A、学生跟着录音读故事。

B、学生自由分角色朗读故事。

C、Act the story out.

D、自己自由读故事,并完成练习纸上两道题。
