Subject Clause

主语从句: 在主从复合句中充当主语的从句叫做主语从句。

设计意图：利用含有主语从句的歌曲导入新课，有利于引起学生的兴趣及增加课堂的趣味性。

Step 2 Observing、Discovering & Sum-up Task 1 Find out subject clause. (group work) It is well-known that natural disasters have taken place frequently recently. When they will happen is uncertain. Why there are so many natural disasters is not clear. Wherever there is a natural disaster is a frightening thing. Therefore, whoever lives on the earth is supposed to fight with them. Whether we can live happily and safely on the earth depends on whether we can deal with the natural disasters effectively.

So what I want to stress is that we should protect the environment. If we do harm to nature, nature will harm us, too. Besides, warning system should be built. Which method will be useful remains to be proven.

So how we can overcome the natural disasters needs discussing.

Step 4 Practice &Finding out rules for subject clause Task 3: By doing exercises, students can find out the main rules for subject clause. (see PPT) 设计意图：通过以常考题型单句语法填空、单句改错的形式，设置主语从句相关题目，引导学生思考做题，得出主语从句的相关规律，突破考点。

Step 5 Writing (group work) Task 4: Teacher shows students something about the destruction of Notre Dame by fire. Then teacher gives students some sentences in Chinese to ask students to discuss in groups to write something about this event.

Thus, what we need to remember is to cherish the moment. What we need to do is to protect the cultural relics. 设计意图：引导学生结合巴黎圣母院被烧的时事新闻，结合中文提示，小组讨论，完成对此事的描述，运用主语从句。此项活动，有利于学生将语法主语从句运用到写作中来。而且也实现了情感目标的升华，学生更加喜欢学习语法，喜欢用语法句子描述生活中的时事新闻。

Step 6 Sum-up Teacher inspires students to sum up what they learned today. 设计意图：发挥学生的主观能动性，总结本节课所学知识。

Step 7 Homework Polish your writing. 设计意图：引导学生反复润色作文，运用主语从句。

Teaching Reflection: 优点：

1. 本节课体现了语篇教学法，开头是从语篇中找主语从句，最后以语篇写

作结束，而且是以灾难这一主题贯穿整堂课。

2. 语法课的设计体现了让学生观察、分析、讨论，发现与总结语法现象，体现了探究学习。

3. 本节课的选材联系了时事新闻，具有时效性，而且有利于吸引学生。

4. 运用含有主语从句的歌曲导入本课，有利于引起学生的兴趣。

不足：

1. 板书设计的美观性需要进一步提升。

2. 开头语篇部分找主语从句时，教师的语言不简练，引导有点多，以至于后面写作部分时间稍微有点紧。

3
