Teaching procedures: Step 1. Greetings Greet the whole class as usual.

Step 2. Lead-in 1.

Ask students to name some Chinese festivals, such as: the Dragon Boat Festival,Tomb-sweeping Day, the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Spring Festival…

2. Ask students to name some foreign festivals, such as: Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, April Fool’s Day, Valentine’s Day…

Look at the pictures and the title of the passage, predict what kind of information will be introduced in the passage.
