一、课时目标

1、学习和运用词组：cooks Chinese food, studies Chinese, does word puzzles, goes hiking.

2、能够熟练运用句型Does he/she …? Yes, he/she does. No, he/she doesn’t. 进行提问并作答。

3、能够听、说、读、写核心句型：Does he live in ____? No, he doesn’t.

4、鼓励学生发展广泛的兴趣与爱好，积极运用所学语言进行表达与交流，加强合作，能够理解会话大意；能够正确的意群及语音、语调朗读对话，能够在情景中运用主句型问答，谈论他人信息。

二、教学重难点

1、重点：能听、说、读、写单词：studies, puzzle, hiking。2、难点：一般现在时的单三形式。

三、教学过程

1、热身（Warm-up）

（1）师生问候。

（2）Guess: What is my hobby? 2、新课呈现（Presentation）

（1）Introduce my new pen pal's hobbies.Then Ss watch the video and answer:Where does John live? He lives in Australia.

（2）Learn the new words

cooks Chinese food

by showing the picture of John cooking dumplings

by teaching the pronounciation

by reading the phrases in groups studies Chinese

by showing the picture

by reading the words aloud

by comparing studies with its base form study and teaching Ss the rule of changing study into studies

by teaching ss to read the word puzzle correctly
