本课是人民教育出版社出版的新起点英语四年级下册第一单元第三课的内容。本单元的主题是My neighbourhood.本单元从Andy走出教室，在校门口，一个阿姨问Andy医院在哪的情景展开，唤起学生对一些表示场所及地理位置的词汇的回忆。

在前面两课时，学生已对本单元的核心知识——表示场所及地理位置的词汇以及功能句如何问路有所了解。本课时是第三课时，只在读懂有关街区路线的短文，并能根据短文内容画出短文中人物的路线图。

学情分析

四年级学生对英语学习有着浓厚的兴趣，上课能专心听讲、积极发言，具有一定的英语基础，也具有一定的自主学习能力。但是，学生缺乏对周围事物的观察能力，通过本课的学习，学生此方面的能力将有所提高。

教学目标
