Part 1 Teaching material analysis This period is from unit 4 of NEW SENIOR ENGLISH FOR CHINA STUDENT’ BOOK1. we will learn the Attributive Clause Introduced

by

the Relative Pron.

Through learning , we can grasp the Attributive Clause and can apply them correctly and smoothly. According to the contents and the fact of the Ss, I establish the following three teaching aims of this period. Part 2 Teaching aims Knowledge aims: Get the students to learn the Attributive Clause introduced by the Relative Pron

Ability aims: Enable the students to use attributive clauses correctly and properly. Emotional aims: 1. Get the students to become interested in grammar learning. 2. Develop the students’ sense of group cooperation.

Part 3 Teaching emphasis Get the students to master the Attributive Clause introduced by the Relative Pron

Part 4 Teaching methods In this topic, I will use seven —step Teaching Method, Task-based Method, Communicated Method …I design some tasks

to help the students learn and give them enough chances to practice .That is “Learning by doing ,learning by using ”.Let the students be the masters of the class teaching .Thus, student-centered teaching is well shown. Part 5 Teaching aids I will use some pictures and the computer to help me achieve the aims. Part6 Teaching procedure Step 1. Lead-in The purpose is to arouse the students’interest of study. In order to attract the students’attention and construct an surrounding of learning English, I

let the students look at two pictures and at the same time ,they can help the students review the knowledge. Step 2 Presentation The purpose is to develop the skills of analysis and summary First I

let the students turn to Page 34 and read the text Elias’ Story. Tick out the attributive clauses introduced by relative adverbs or prep. +which/whom in the reading passage and translate them into Chinese. Then I

give the Suggested answers

for the students to check.

such as when, where, why, and so on to introduce attributive clauses? Then we will draw a conclusion: Note: 1,2句是关系副词when 和where 引导的定语从句。它们所修饰的先行词是表示——和——的名词。

3,4句是介词+which、whom引导的定语从句。当先行词指人时,用介词+——。当先行词指物或地点时,用介词+____。

The purpose is to encourage the students to analyse and draw the conclusion by themselves. During my teaching ,I will try my best to get my class alive and encourage the students to study by themselves . I
