教学目标

1 aims on the knowledge and skills

Learn the new words: trial ,evidence, explode, entrance. Comprehending the whole passage: Get the definition: what is a fact and what is an opinion Get Some language clues to help identify facts and opinions

2 process and methods Use a piece of news to ask student whether ti is a fact or an opinion lead to the title,

ask students scan the passage and answer three simple questions. Then ask students to skim the text and underline the topic sentences of each paragraph. Then ask students to judge statements,Strengthen students comprehension of the passage by some excercises.

3 aims on the emotion Through this reading,guide the students to identify what is a fact and what is an opinion and how to speak exactly on different ocassion.

学情分析

高一年级的学生学习了必修一，词汇量和短语也有了一定的积累。对于什么是事实什么是观点这个话题也非常的感兴趣，带着兴趣去学习，学生容易弄懂，略读设置的三个问题很容易做出来，但是需要学生概括总结的问题，对他们有一定的难度，需要老师一步步的引导。在讨论什么是事实什么是观点这个问题上，学生在语言表达方面有待提高，通过给学生总结语言线索可以大大的降低难度。

教学过程

Warming up Ask students to judge several statements whether ti is a fact or an opinion,then listen to the passage.

In put 1,Ask students to scan the text, then answer three simple questions :1/what is a fact? 2/ where is an opinion?

2, Then ask students to skim the text and underline the topic sentences of each paragraph

3, Strengthen students comprehension

by some fact or opinion excercise e. 1/. A VW Passat can go faster than 100km

an hour. 2./ I think it’s the best car for a family.

3/. I think driving a car is wrong because it causes

damage to the environment. 4/. I don’t like public transport because it’s so

crowded. 5/. I know that driving a car spoils the air in

Beijing. 6/. The Beijing Olympic Games will be the best

ever. 7./ More countries than ever before will be

coming to take part in the Olympic Games. 8/. It will be very hot when the Olympic Games

are being held.

4 help students to get some language clues to help identify facts and opinions 5,ask students to analyze what happened to the amber room a fact or an opinion 6,listening and then fill in the blanks in part A and B. check the answer by giving out the text.

Out put 1,ask students to make a summary about how to give an opinion

2,Homework:teamwork: ask students to discuss what to do exercise 2&3on page 42. 3,enjoy the song .
