一、教学分析

学情分析

本课的教学对象是六年级学生，他们已掌握一定量的英语基础知识，能运用所学知识进行交流。因此学习本课更能使学生灵活运用所学知识，进行思维拓展。

教材分析

本课是义务教育教科书冀教版小学英语(三年级起)六年级下第四单元第19课的一节新授课，本单元讲述了李明将要回家，最后在加拿大这段时间发生的事情。本课重点介绍买礼物的过程，内容接近学生的生活,学生愿意对此话题进行交流。本课的目的在于培养学生综合运用语言的能力。

Preparation and Presentation

1. Lead-in: T: I went to Shanghai last winter holiday. Look , what am I doing?

Ss: You are buying gifts.

(板书Buying Gifts) T: I want to buy some gifts for my family. There are five people in my family. And I need a gift for everyone in my family. So how many gifts do I need? Ss: Four gifts. 【设计意图】

通过老师去上海、给家人买礼物，引出本课话题。贴近生活，容易引起学生的兴趣。初次出现How many … do I need?，根据实际情况，学生能理解本句话。

2. First-reading: T: Li Ming is in Canada now. He will fly home. He loves his family.

（学生带着问题快速阅读，找出教师所提出的三个问题答案）
