①Beijing---Fourteen-year-old Chen Yue, who is half-Chinese, half-French, has always enjoyed the atmosphere of a Chinese Spring Festival celebration . In Bei Jing, Chen Yue and her family invited friends to dine with them during that festival and give red envelopes. Chen Yue’s father immediately fell in love with the festival when they started celebrating it about 10 years ago, and actively joins in the preparations each year.

②The tradition of the Spring Festival, such as cleaning the house, having a big

meal, setting off fireworks, and making dumplings can be found across different cultures.

③In USA, Chinese people always hang red lanterns, and put Spring couplets on the door annually as well as do dragon and lion dances in Chinatown in San Francisco. In Canada, Chinese people usually hold Spring Festival celebrations in a local shopping center, which attracts many local people to see. In France, people watch a video celebration on the screen at Times Square on Sunday, the Chinese New Year’s eve. ④Thousands of miles away, London planned a variety of traditional Chinese celebrations at the city’s largest shopping mall Westfield London including dragon and lion dances, painting, writing calligraphy and walking on stilts.
