A Teaching Plan for Reading Comprehension Gap-filling: Five from Seven Teaching aims：

By the end of this period, students will be able to

obtain a good understanding of Gap-filling: Five from Seven; 2.

analyze the structure of an article as well as the logical connection among sentences or paragraphs; 3.

summarize the main idea of an article and use proper strategies to solve problems of Gap-filling: five from seven.

developing students’ logical thinking, judgmental thinking and analytical thinking.

Teaching procedures: Step 1: Lead-in Play a jigsaw puzzle game.

(How can you solve the problems?) T: In English study, we always do such kind job. That is Gap-filling: Five from Seven. （利用拼图游戏与七选五相似性把学生从游戏状态引到上课主题来。）

Step 2: Analyzing T: Read through the article to catch the main idea of it. Some questions about it: 1.What kind of article is it? 2.What’s the purpose of writing this passage? 3.What title would you add to it?

4.What adjective can be filled in the blank?

5.Could you tell the function of the last sentence in the first paragraph?

Step 5:Experiencing According to different positions of the blanks we can use different strategies. 1.文章结构类

Step 6:Practice T: After learning so many strategies, we’d better have a test.
