Teaching Procedures

Step 1 Warm-up

Play a vedio of the World Cup.

Let the students talk about the World Cup.

Then introduce the World Cup.

Step 2 Presenttion

Story time

Show a picture.

Play the tape.

1.Let’s the students listen to the tape and watch he picture in order to get the main idea.Divide the students into 4 groups.The grouper find out the sentences they don’t understand.

The grouper report what they have learnt.

2.Play the tape again.Students listen and repeat. T he

students explain the difficfult and importand sentences.

3.Disorder the pictures.Then ask the students put them in the correct order.

3.Play the tape again.Students imitate the pronunciation and intonation.

4.Let several good-English students read the story.Then act out the story between groups.

5.Have a talk about their thoughts about the story.Tell them teamwork is very important.

6.Retell the story each other.

Step3 Practice

Have a PK to spell the words.

Explain the rules of adjectives in comparision. Step 4 Consolidation and extension

Read the story to their parents.

Finish off the workbook.
