Step2.Lead-in In our daily life,we should pay more attention to the news. Now let’s hold a competition. I’ll show you four pictures and ask four of you to describe the picture using the given words or phrases. You should pay attention to the usages of the tense and the voice of the verbs.( Do you remember what grammar we have learnt in last two units? ---the passive voice of future tense and the passive voice of present pertect tense. )The teacher will give due scores according to the group members’ performance.

beaten by The Warriors on May,27th,2018. (storm,blow down) The big tree has been blown down by the storm.

(North Korea ,testing ground,tear down) The testing ground in North Korea has been torn down. (opening ceremony,21st World Cup,14th,June,2018) The opening ceremony of the 21st World Cup will be held on 14th,June，2018.

T: All of you have done a really good job. Now let’s look at a picture and you can guess what they are doing. (Linda,teacher,inspect) T:What cam you see in this picture? Ss:three persons. To help the students review the usages of the tense and voice of the verbs and lead them to learn new lesson. Meanwhile,the Ss are stimulated to compete with each other to present better sentences. Step3 Learning about language T: After having learned the first passage,pick out the sentences using the present progressive passive voice from the passage and analyse their structures(especially the patterns of present progressive passive voice) Ss: Line9

So good things are being done here to save local wildlife. T:Excellent. Have you noticed the structure of the words in red. As for the sentence pattern,these five sentences are all declarative sentences. Their pattern can be summarized as follows:

Declarative sentences:subject + am/is/are + being + done If we want describe it in a negative sentence, how to say it? Linda is not being inspected by the teacher. If we want to ask whether Linda is being inspected by the teacher,how to say? Is Linda being inspected by the teacher? If the answer is Linda,then what to ask? Who is being inspected by the teacher?

According to the above sentences,we can summarize the folling sentence patterns. Negative sentence :subject + am/is/are+not + being + done General questions ：Am/Is/Are +subject + being + done Interrogative sentence(疑问句)：interrogative(wh-) + am/is/are +being + done+by Design intent: To help the Ss learn the structures of the passive voice of the

Step4 Practice makes perfect. T: In order to help you consolidate the usages of the present progressive passive voice. The following exercises are designed for you. You are supposed to pay attention to the tense and voice of the given words.

Now, I’ll choose five pairs of group members to play the game”Act and Guess”. One member read the sign and try to act it out, the other member try to guess the action and he is encouraged to say it in a sentence. The five actions are as follows: wash clothes
