Teaching material : P 54. 22words in unit 1. ( younger , older , taller, shorter , longer, thinner, heavier, bigger , smaller , stronger, dinosaur , hall, meter, metre, than, both, kilogram , countryside , lower, shadow, smarter, become.)
Teaching aim: 1. Could understand the follow words in real situation : dinosaur, hall, metre, than, kilogram , both.. Could read out them in right pronunciation .
2.Could listen , say , read and write from memory the follow words :younger, older, taller, shorter, longer, bigger, thinner, heavier, stronger. Could use these words to describe the appearance of characters.

Know the rules of word - formation about comparative adjectives.

Help Ss grasp all these words . Know their
pronunciation
,meaning and spelling . Could use them correctly in real communication scene.
5. Stimulate Ss' interest of memorizing words .

One : Warm up 1. Listen to the song 《My small cat》in unit one , in the meantime looking at the lirics on PPT . 2. Then Ss try to sing the song follow audio . 3.Freetalk about age ,weight ,height.
Two :Revision. Show all words in unit one .
Routine practice 22 words in unit one to review all these words .
Three : Practice . 1.Recognize words by pictures. Show 22 word pictures one by one . Ss try to read the match word quickly . To consolidate their English pronunciation and Chinese meaning .
(1). Label them into 4 groups by their spelling rules . (2). Read and copy . First show group 1. Then group 2, group 3, the last is group 4. till remember all of them. 3. The words test . Show Chinese . Ss try to Translate them into English .
