Step 2 Presentation 一、V-ing形式作主语

1. V-ing形式作主语，表示一般或抽象的习惯性行为，谓语动词用单数。如：

Reading aloud is very important for us to learn a foreign language.

Going to bed early and getting up early is considered to be a good habit. 2. 有时v-ing主语过长，常用it作形式主语放在句首，而把真正的主语放到句末。

如：

Crying over spilt milk is no use. →It is no use crying over spilt milk. 这样的句型有：

It is a waste of time doing...做...是浪费时间

It is no use/ good doing... 做...是没有用/没好处的

二、动词-ing形式作宾语

1. 接-ing形式作宾语的动词有

口诀：

避免错过少延期

avoid, miss, postpone/delay 建议完成多练习

advise/suggest, finish, practice 喜欢想象禁不住

enjoy, imagine, can't help 承认否定与嫉妒

admit, deny, envy 逃避冒险莫原谅

escape, risk, excuse 忍受保持不介意

stand/bear, keep, mind 2. 动词-ing形式作介词的宾语。如：

devote to, be / get used to, look forward to, pay attention to, stick to等

e.g.

I’m looking forward to receiving your reply. 3. 在形容词后面

如be worth doing, be busy doing 注意：

1. 有些动词后既可接v-ing也可接to do作宾语

用法差别不大如：hate, like, begin, start等。

但也有些意思相差很大，如：

remember to do 记得去做...

remember doing 记得做过... forget to do

忘记去做...

forget doing 忘记做过... stop to do 停下来去做...

stop doing 停止做... try to do 努力做...

try doing 试着做... mean to do打算做...

mean doing 意味着做... 2.

动词-ing形式主动表被动意义的有

need/want/require/deserve doing=need/want/require/deserve to be done e.g. The carpet really needs cleaning. = The carpet really needs to be cleaned. 3. v-ing的复合结构: 带有逻辑主语的v-ing形式

1) 形容词性物主代词+v-ing (可做主/宾语)

Do you mind his smoking? 2) 名词's+ v-ing
