Teaching Topic: Revision of Grammar - Subject

Class Type: Period 3 Subject-Verb Concord (主谓一致)

Teaching Target: Students in Great 3 of Senior High school

Teaching Aims:

To get to review the basic principles of Subject-Verb Concord 2.

To draw conclusions by observing and analyzing some sentences 3.

To have a good command of the usage of Subject-Verb Concord in specific context Teaching Methods: 1.

To draw conclusions of the basic principles of the usage of Subject-Verb Concord by observing and analyzing the sentences given in the learning paper which are about the singers in a TV program I Am a Singer that is familiar to the students. 2.

After learning by themselves and discussing in groups, students analyze and work out the questions, and eventually learn to give a presentation in class. 3.

To develop students’

interest in learning and build up their cooperation by competing in the tasks.

To show the final task of this lesson that is to complete a writing passage regarding a TV program I Am A Singer which is familiar to students by using the knowledge learned in this lesson. My family ____ all music lovers. Not only I but also my parents ____ fond of music. Recently, a number of people ___ concerned about I AM A SINGER. It is one of

the reality TV shows which ____ (attract) audience best and in which 7 singers _____ (compete) with each other. Besides, there ___ a jury in the show and the number of the members ____ 500. My parents as well as I _____ eager to be one of them. This show is so popular that many a

Step2: Task-learning 1.

Step3: Competition: Challenge your memory 1.
